Assuming April 2002 is the end of this recession, his timing would be perfect because, unlike the last time, Intel will be well-equipped for the next boom and that may not bode well for a fab and capital limited chip firm.

And as you had suggested, say after one year (April 2003) in retirement, Sanders could return.
