If I remember correctly the last time I did a restore in the DOS window it listed the cab restore backups by dates and I chose one.

If you'll look in C:\ Windows\Sysbckup folder you should see 5 zip cab files that are your registry backups.Open the folder and rightclick and choose properties and you'll see the dates.

It's a hidden file so you may have to change your view in folder options.

If your registry backups are that dated you have probably removed ScanRegistry from your msconfig startup tab programs list. I leave mine checked and the last five days I have booted are listed. You might check with PMS or someone else on this but I believe that is the way it works.
