Paul, As for Intel's Pentium 4, the new socket parameters have been known for over 6 months - and both Intel and Via are addressing these - and word from Taiwan indicates that late this year we just may see all these new sockets/P4's and DDR memories sitting on motherboards. The word from Taiwan travels fast. However, functional motherboards can take a while. Take Via KT266 as an example. It will turn out to be about 2 quarters late. The same thing with Ali DDR chipset.
