>>So what is the scoop on Iraq? <<

Heck if I know, I stopped going to the intel briefings a while ago. I just hope it doesn't heat up until later. We are on call for a while longer so if it heats up, we go to put the fire out. Another month or so and someone else takes over and we get to relax again for a few months until it is our turn again. I doubt too much is going on. The press makes it sound like we missed by a mile on a few targets. We tend to hit everything at least twice and even if both missed, they make craters so big that I doubt any of the equipment would still work.

I personally think it was more a message than tactical anyway. Each Clinton term, Saddam would pull something within a couple months. W just wanted to avoid letting Saddam get the first punch in and set the tone. We did that. Saddam now knows no games will be tolerated. There is a new sherrif in town and he doesn't believe in gun locks. <ggg>

Good Luck,

Lee
