That interface would be nearly usable if it weren't for all the distracting little blinking junk around the screen.

That's going to be interesting. When I paid my $$$ for a lifetime SI membership, one of the conditions of the agreement was NO BANNER ADS. I'm still trying to figure out why this isn't a violation of that agreement.
