I heard one wag say that people couldn't follow the complex Clinton schemes and machinations in their myriad other money-grubbing scandals, but that they could readily understand that the Clintons were stealing the furniture and selling pardons.

You're right, the real scandals are the ones that involved the Clintons selling policy to foreign interests.
