Zoltan: Since you're the expert on what's wrong with the U.S. automotive industry, have you ever considered that perhaps more than one factor could be at play here? You always point your finger at the UAW as THE REASON, but I'm wondering whether you've become too much of a "one-issue" guy. Could it be possible that Toyota/Honda are doing better than GM these days because Toyota/Honda have smarter managers, or better engineers, or a better marketing departments, or better TV ads?

Maybe Japanese engineers are just smarter than American managers ... you know, higher IQ's and the like. (Based on what I've seen from U.S. engineers on this board, that is a distinct possibility, in my opinion.)

Take a look at some of these other factors and then report back to the class.
