It is just amazing to me, the negativity these days. It is as if people think
IT spending is going to forever revert to hammers, chisels and stone tablets.

A better explanation is: Intel sells components. NTAP sells systems. NTAP
will buy components that cost $500->$x,000. Intel will buy NTAP servers
that cost $xx,000 -> $xxx,000. It's an order of magnitude type business
deal, an order of magnitude in NTAP's favor.

Even if NTAP bought motherboards and CPUs from Intel, the deal probably
favors them dollar-wise more than 30 or so, to 1.

NTAP did a major deal with Oracle, which should leverage many more
database deals. NTAP did a deal now with Intel, which should leverage
many more ASP-storage and CAD/CAM deals, assuming Intel is chucking
their crappy old Auspex systems they used in chip design storage for
NTAP.
