Amazon does nothing to add value to that half-ton barbecue grill for which Glenn gave us the link the other day. People here know that I'm quite bearish on Amazon, but your statement is plain wrong. Amazon takes a picture of the grill, adds an editorial review, provides a forum for users' opinions, and might even suggest the purchase in the light of the last 20,000 bucks you blew on a plasma TV and beer cooler just before the superbowl. That adds value. The question is if it adds enough value to compensate for shipping charges, inconvenience of not seeing the item up front, and so on.
