Read a rumor that MSFT/DOJ settlement might be the spark that gets a reversal going. We'll see.

CA Tech, what is your take on the QCOM news. Yes, a delay in w-cdma hurts qcoms earnings. But hasnt IJ basically told the world today that wcdma will not be ready for a long time, while cdma-2000 is ready to go this year. If any european telcos decide to overlay their systems with a cdma-2000 system qcom makes more and makes it sooner than if w-cdma had been rolled out in 2-3 years. To me it sounds like qcom has launched the final attack today by exposing w-cdma and the europeans. If the stock price gets depressed for now, so be it. The technicians I know say high 30s as the likely low for qcom, any comments.

<<holding up...ray of light>>

SUNW is holding up decently ( knock knock ) as well...I added to my 03 leaps....premiums are just so cheap, and I'll just roll them to 04's if sunw hasnt recovered by then.......regardless of their warning, I am thrilled about their 1.5 billion dollar share buy back program....the shorts should think about that.....the company feels they are an excellent investement at this level...who should know better then them. Think about how many shares they will be buying on the open market........more then likely they will want topurchase these shares as cheaply as posssible....before a rebound. Does sunw hit $10 in this mess?? I have no idea, but I think it's a relatively safe buy in the $15 - $25 range........I mean heck they are now number one in servers....over big blue and hp......if I had the balls to put all my eggs into one basket, the sunw basket would certainly get consideration at this point. Company is concerned about econimic conditions, period. Are still looking forward to being a big hairy gorilla.....time will tell.....but $20 is very intriguing knowing what we now know.....oh, and about all those used servers from the dot.bomb crash goes.....there aint as many as people think, the pricing of them is quite high, and they would not get service contract from sunw..they would have to buy a service contract...just some more fud for folks to toss around........
