Mike, that Jim Cramer is a beauty. Six weeks ago he was saying that Greenspan had just solved all our problems -- load up on cyclicals and retailers -- and that the bear market was over. Not a word about that in the last 2 weeks though, now that the S&P 500 bear has officially begun. Instead, he's roasting a Tech Fund Manager for recommending tech (duh) and showing us (in a 4-part series, no less) how Lucent, Cisco and Nortel went bad.

I don't think any columnist comes across as more obnoxious (in print) than Cramer. What a sphincter.

Meanwhile, Meehan is nailing it.

Of possible interest to my friends:

"Remember, if you trade in your IRA, 401(k) or any other
tax-deferred account, you don't have to worry about the
wash sale. And in most circumstances, you can sell a stock
in your taxable account and buy it back in your tax-deferred
account without the wash sale rearing its nasty head. "
