that's a cliche without much meaning.
it's a chicken and egg thing.
because i could say exactly the opposite and it would be even more precise:
namely, that it was the fall in JNPR and other former highflyers who were left standing that broke the Nasdaq's back.

see what i mean?

<<it helps to have a meltdown in the nasdaq. jnpr rarely moves by iteself in a vacuum.
when nasdaq bounces so too will jnpr. pretty straight forward.>>
