Rashid: I seem to remember the Dow slicing through 2000 very quickly... It also didn't waste much time on 3000 and 4000... It all depends on the market environment at the time... Right now the market environment stinks... The Wayne Angel prediction about an inter-meeting rate cut put the brakes on the market slide... Bill Gross, who manages several hundred billion in bond accounts doesn't think it will happen... We are now in an anticipatory position... If we get the cut this week we could get a short term rally... If we don't, I wouldn't be looking for Nasdaq 2000 to hold for long... We'll know by Wednesday... Jim
