Just to clarify a thing or two: Im not into a peeping-Tom routine - Im in, not out, @ cca 25% on the short side since few weeks. Still its no fun.

Re U2: well, the following burnt itself in years ago - must have been a car bumper sticker or something -

"1. you cant win
2. you cant break even
3. you cant quit the game".

But I assume its more of an attitude question then reality check. Depends how much (how desperately) somebody wants to belong.
