FWIW this market looks to be rallying on this " Bear Stearns chief economist and former Fed Governor Wayne Angel telling his sales force that there is a 60% chance that the Fed cuts rates next week. (CNBC) " I would have prefer another kind of rallye...

Bob,

You can also use options as a way to accumulate over time. By shorting puts you get to pick a price that you would want to own the stock at. Writing covered calls against your long position will also generate some income while you wait and reduce the cost of your position. ELNK has LEAP options available and that makes for some interesting plays.
