Scumbria, if you are looking at campaign contributions you will find that both parties support ideas that their contributors support. To an extent this is because contributors look from some one who supports there ideas when they go to donate money rather then a quid pro quo.

As for assault weapons there is two different definitions of them. If you define them as fully automatic weapons then they have been heavily restricted for decades. If you go by the more recent assault weapon ban laws then they are defined largely in cosmetic ways and banning them does no real good to anyone except perhaps those who sell guns that are similar to the outlawed guns without actually falling under the ban. In addition to all of this there is the fact that such weapons are still banned so I don't see what you mean by "Assault weapons for campaign contributions".

RE:"Wildlife refuges for campaign contributions!
Assault weapons for campaign contributions!"

When you get off the partisan horse you will see that Washington is just one big money grab.
Could anyone expected anything more from Lawyers? Bill, Hillary, Hugh Roddam, Jack Quinn via Denise Rich, Oil hired guns etc. etc...
Now you see what I've been saying all along...

Maybe what you don't know is that this latest pardon fiasco is just the tip of the iceberg. Word has that that even another Clinton family member is involved in the pardons along with numerous other Lawyers nest-feathering. Gee, where have you heard that term before...

Sad thing is that we were about to put the Clinton shenanigans of the last 8 years behind us. Now all this, more shenanigans. Anyone who can defend the Clintons now can't be serious...
