I was just going to ask you that very thing.... what if they did put gold where there euro is.... the US would be forced to put some "real" assets behind the script or prepare to let it dangle in the wind.....

Rumor of 1/2pt cut=>Spike rally=>if rumor false=>Spike down.

Expectations are building. By the time Fed gets around to considering rate cut, they'll look at the market and say 'looks like all we have to do is spread the rumor', we didn't want to give a rate cut anyways. Should we ?
