It has occurred to me that even if we get a market rally starting next week, it isn't likely to last more than a few weeks. People will have to sell stocks to pay higher than usual taxes this year due to capital gains that were higher than usual LAST year. Of course some of the selling NOW could be due to taxes, but more than likely, it's due to margin calls or just fear that the market will go still lower. I was hoping for a nice rally to start that would last several months, but tax bills might not allow that.
