Yes, I saw that, too. It seems there is not yet a firm precedent or ruling, but you can't go printing advice in a wide-circulation magazine telling people to do something that a court may well some day rule against. Another way of saving on taxes is to distill your own whiskey, but no one prints instructions on that either. I admit to being a little amoral about some of these things. The painter and plasterer who works on our house does an excellent job and charges about 30% less than others. He asks to be paid in cash. There is nothing illegal in my paying him in cash.
