Exactly - Everyone Believes That The Value of The Stock They Own Can Be Used To Buy Things Whenever They Want.

The problem is the value of the financial assets is far greater than the value of the things available to be bought.

This means either the dollar cost of things increases (inflation) or the nominal value of the financial assets is reduced. We've had some of both so far. I expect we will have significantly more of both in the future since the gap remains rather large.
