Amen, this is an incredibly difficult market to trade, and 99.9+% of the time guys like Don Luskin will have the upper hand because they understand the sentiment and expectations of the big guys so much more clearly than the typical retail investor, like myself. On the 0.1% of the times like the Q's wild ride today, most of the regulars on these threads can recognize a total misread of the "news" by the thundering herd and, if within their risk tolerances, act accordingly. (I still think IJ's comments were ill-advised, but the media spin and panic to the exit was unreal.)
