"I held on to my integrity and good nature. It's not all about the money. The lessons we learn in life from watching others and never wanting to become like that." Donnie, that sounds like a creed to live by.

That is why I come to the porch. Sure, there were sparks around election time, but that happened everywhere. One thing we don't find here is hatred. We want people to feel good about themselves. If they make mistakes, we try to help even though we ourselves are imperfect.

On some other threads, people take advantage of their aliases to just let loose on other people. Its kinda like road rage on the Internet highway. On the porch we wave each other thru the stop signs, even if we didn't get there first. That's right neighborly.

There are some good people over at the clown killer thread. AlansAlias comes to mind first, but there are several others. If you can get past the bombast, there is some good wisdom and technical analysis to be found.

The fact of the matter is that you need (we all need) to be prepared for more of the same, otherwise we face equally (if not more so) depressing days. We should view good days as a God-send, and not a given (I know... It's so hard to think that way!)

In three years it will all be just a bad memory, but a good lesson nonetheless...

It was a two margarita evening... Listening to Van Cliburn's rendition of the "Pathétique". So soothing...

Very nice, I must say.

Highest Regards to all,

LoF

PS I'm going to listen to Fat Boy Slim and Moby, next...

I joked with one of my brokers today that I wanted him to pinch me (not that I'm gay or anything) to wake me up from my 12 month nightmare, but then I realized-- My pending baby (see June delivery) would've been a dream too. On reflection, I came to the conclusion that the millions of lost dollars were not even close to being as important as the health and the miracle of the new baby. I would not relive the last twelve months if the result could have changed in that respect.

Looking forward to being a Dad. The money was never a real issue (fortunately).
