Oh, good point. I don't doubt that legally they would have fair treatment. I agree that the child who is unwanted child is more likely to be treated badly than a child who is chosen. It would be interesting to see a study of children who have been treated badly. How many of them were at one time "wanted". What factors changed to bring about the "unwanted" situation? Seems like if we could identify the change factors then there could be some sort of family intervention. Of course if it is simply crack ho's who are behaving irresponsibly there is probably not much that you can do.
