yep...that is something one really has to keep in mind: 100 basis points in rate cuts, and we're hitting new 52 week lows three weeks after cut number two?

imagine you had been away from the market since March of 2000...stranded on an uninhabitated island somewhere, without access to TV, internet, telephone...and you come back today. first you see the NDX barely hanging on to 2k. you think, wow, the bubble sure has burst. THEN somebody shows you a chart of the thing with the dates of the two 1/2 point rate cuts indicated...looking at only this info, without the 'noise' that surrounds us every day, what do you conclude?
