I find it interesting that those people who are among the so called "filthy rich" are coming out out the woodwork to denounce any change in the inheritance tax laws. I guess if you're worth $100 million and the government takes half when you die, it's no big deal. Your kids still have a nice little nest egg to live on, but if you're some poor schmuck farmer or business owner and your kids have to sell the farm to pay off the tax bill, then that's just tough luck. I think that really shows the character of some of these people. I'm sure they have ways of sheltering their money from Uncle Sam, but the rest of us should just pay up.

I was watching the O'Reilley Factor a couple of nights ago. He was interviewing some wealthy woman who thought it was just awful that the inheritance tax might go away. O'Reilly told her that if she liked the tax so well, she should just write out a check to the government right now, and leave his money alone. You should have seen the look on her face when he said that. It's kind of like those Hollywood Limousine Liberals who ride around in their private jets, and live in their $20 million homes who are telling the rest of us that we are too wasteful with the earth's resources, and we should all cut back. Yea right, you first!
