limtex,

Years ago, when VOD acquired AirTouch, it took the latter's entire engineering team including the latter's chief technology officer who happened to be one of the pioneers in CDMA. I kept track of events during that period as I held a fairly sizable position in AirTouch, which was subsequently sold six months after the merger.

Now and then I indirectly heard that many of the technical people from AirTouch are still with VOD. My thought is, therefore, that there must still be some top level contact and technical communications between the companies - Q and V.

With the above historical perspective and VOD's global business interests, I wouldn't be surprised if V turns out to be the pivotal force in the whole scheme of things.

Regards,
Ibexx
