>>The weather in HK ...the morning fog is just clearing, the thermals supporting several hawks circling outside...<<

Hair bristled on my neck. I saw HK again - a faint whiff in my nostrils -. That was magic.

Have a nice day - afternoon by now I guess - .

Am curious, Jay, -- what kind of hawk?

We live in foothills and have red-tailed hawks circling overhead most all time. A tall tree in back of house nestles a hawk nest.. We witnessed several generations of fledglings taking flight from same nest. Last year a young boy neighbor shot pellets at the nesting birds. I stopped him, but not in time I suspect, as the birds abandoned the nest.

Happy ending -- a pair of hawks have returned to the nest a couple weeks ago, We are expecting in the spring!
