Truly is! A very personal way to learn about so many countries on earth!! And the thing I've really become aware of is that 1) We ALL have great great grandparents....16 of them, whether we know it or not. 8 women, and 8 men. Many of mine were from someplace other than America, although a few of them were here from the early 1630's...

It is indeed very very rare for someone to have BOTH sides of the mothers AND fathers families, ALL from the same country for 5 or more genearations....

We are almost all "Heinz"....and have such wonderful traditions....Too bad our press and some of our politicians and hangers-on can't get rid of the hyphen....If we were Naturalized or were born here, we are an AMERICAN!

Yes, and some of the people took the name of the section of the country they came from..and I do know many changed the spelling of their names to make it easier.

I really should look into mine, but mine might be hard..
