Ponderosa - let's not forget the constituency fastest to adopt these devices on a mass scale - not techies - teen age girls. Look at I-mode. Wait till they get it in the Americas - phones, larger screen PDA's, items on the Samsung dream list - others. Some kids will have a phone or combo PDA, perhaps a wristwatch - laptop for more serious things - maybe a bookreader - see what's available for Christmas 2001 - then the explosion by Christmas 2002 with royalties and ASIC sales coming in the first half calendar 2002. The real explosion lies in the multiplicity of devices people might have - no one ASIC baring royalty paying machine fills all the needs and desires we haven't even thought of yet. Hey, this sounds like 1999. Our concepts were then just too remote. The difference is that now they are real, color screens are gearing up, the systems are being generated, and you can be sure that what Irwin said in Cannes publicly is only a part of the private conversations he was having with the Euros which we won't hear about for 6 months. Best, John
