They had the audacity to bounce this dog all they way back to 80 right at the close. Wacked that mole again.

I love it, now they're also rude as well as stupid <g>.
You've played this carnage beautifully Mike.
I had to leave the computer on Friday. When I left the markets were at their lows and still sinking. It was pretty late in the day so I kept everything. Couldn't believe they rallied the whole barn! Oh well, I'm not too worried.

As for KO, if they can get it back to $55-56 it looks like money in the bank. Puts must be cheap there, although I bet they'r starting to get a littel pricier.

The best candidates (espcially if they rally a bit) I've seen that I don't have are KSS-(thanks tippet), ECR-(Thanks UB), and CI. I gots to git me some of 'dat ANF!

I'm still have:

JPM
MU
GE
AMGN
BVF
COST

I envy you going into the "rally" of the next couple of days with a boatload 'o cash. You'll be like a kid in a candy store on "allowance day"

<<Why do these idiots keep supporting AMAT around 44. Are they nuts?>>

In a word, yes. I covered yesterday, will reenter at the apogee of the rate cut madness.

<<Sitting very very heavy in cash right now for the first time in months>>

Me too. It's the right place to be untill after the cut. Still holding some token shorts, including BBH since I don't think biotech will continue the levitating act much longer, cut or no.

Closed out Mar 47 1/2 AMAT puts on decline to about 44. Why do these idiots keep supporting AMAT around 44. Are they nuts?

The same urge that has you closing out your puts, is what gets people to cover their shorts and longs to buy back their positions. It's a chicken egg thing. If you want to know why the market is doing something examine your own actions. You said it yourself:

That 200+ point drop on the DOW was enough for me
