RDRT: I agree with you on sitting it out for a while. Even though the stock has held the 50dMA twice now the shorter term still looks lousy to me. If there is no rate cut this next week as expected then stocks will be status quo in the ever ending down turn.

Regarding articles, upgrades and analysts...In a bad market all of them have a "I want out agenda" or "I want you to sell agenda" AMAT was a perfect example this last week.
How many times have you seen big houses come out with direct "sell" coverage on a stock and then watch it rise from 40 to 49? IMO that was strictly a ploy by ML and the others to cover a short position.

DELL in the face of downgrades, bashing by every analyst in the book moved from 17 to 28 from the end of Dec. till end of Jan. The stories are endless out there, except for the .com companies <GGGGGG>

MCOM...yes, I had it on my screen as a momo play, but was in the middle of a DELL trade when it ran to over 5...left it alone as they sold the news. Same kind of company is PCOM. (I own it as you know), but PCOM has plenty of cash, a good product with sales (4mm in two contracts so far this year) and more in the pipe. I like their tech. better and wish to heck I was within 1/2 mile of a fiber ring so I could hook up...I'm still on hard wire at 21,600 per!!!!!!!!!! I hate it!!!

PCOM was just in NY city demonstrating at the telecom show. Wireless is in front of us, not behind. Was reading the other day that not too far out there will be no more phone on the desk at home. Personal communication devices like Star Trek will be the norm...."Beam Me UP SCOTTY" LOL
