Scumbria Re..Nothing is going to come of the pardons, just like all of the other things the Reps tried to nail Clinton with.<<<<<<<<<

I can see why you say that because you don't watch TV.; but politics is a game of advertising; making yourself or party seem better than the other guy, so the people vote for you. Bill is losing or already has lost that game. Hillary has been down sized from presidential candidate, the head of the DNC, Bill's hand chosen buddy is under attack, and the dems are falling all over themselves trying to distance themselves.

Better than that, the pardons have put the whole business of graft and bribery through political donations into the spotlight;perhaps forcing the politicians to end them.

Don't kid yourself, the pardons have done great damage, not only to Hillary, not only to the dems, but all politicians. I fully expect that Bill will work a deal, exit stage left and become anominous like Ford or Reagon; and become a symbol of greed run amok. I fully expect Hillary, striped of her higher ambitions to not run again, I fully expect the dems to either turn back to AL or bring some unknown to the fore to lead the Dems. Frankly if AL rather than GW had won the presidency, Bill's mess could have ruined Al's ability to lead, killing his term in office, leading to even greater damage in 2004.

<<<<<<<What is going to happen is that the Reps are going to focus on Clinton, and show off quite clearly that they are clueless about how to deal with the challenges of the 21'st century.<<<<<<

I sincerely doubt that that would happen. GW has assembled a first class cabinet. Colin is better than Madeline, Tommy is better than Shalala, Ashcroft better than Reno. Greenspan is still running the Fed. ONeil though will have one hell of a time being better than Rubin. But GW will be far better than Bill at working with congress, and no scandals have surfaced yet, (despite your best efforts to start one.) so scandals shouldn't be a problem. I fully expect peace and tranquillity to return to Wash. and the people to be bored but happy.
