OK, sorry for the misunderstanding. I apologize. What I thought you were saying didn't really sound like you. If we kept our own money than people could send their children to the schools they want. And the current failed education establishment would become extinct. And we would no longer have to import EEs and CSers from India and Asia because US schools would produce lots of good ones. And the teachers unions would fail. The good teachers would find jobs in the good private schools that would spring up like weeds, and the hacks would have to flip burgers at McDonalds. Oh, and the issue of prayer in public schools would disappear. You want to give your kid a dose of religion allow with 2+2? Fine, send him to a religious school. No?
