No we dont have it here, if we did I would have used it. This is why I think that all the internet operations have or are in the process of going bankrupt...

1. Brick and mortar stores have developed a highly efficient distribution and purchasing operation. While the internet companies went in with to much emphasis on the tech aspect, they didn't concentrate on the physical aspect of the business.

2. People kept saying that it would cost less to run an internet operation vs a real brick and mortar business. Actually I think it is the other way around, buildings are not actually that expensive and they last a long time compared to the software and hardware used in an internet setup. And once you add in the cost of this individual shipping it blows apart the business model.

3. This may be the biggest reason. Almost all of the brick and mortar places I know of started as single stores and then year by year they grew till they became these large businesses they are now. In fact they did not "IPO" until long into their development. These internet companies tried to start at the top and blew a lot of money doing it. I realize WBVN started in specific locations. I at least give them credit for that. I still doubt they will be able to beat the cost problems though.

For some reason we went from the large catalog businesses like Sears, JC Penny, Speigal etc to these large stores and malls. I dont think the internet will change that. It will just fit in with it. People like to shop in stores more than us fat traders sitting in front of a monitor.:)
