Thanks for the clarification. I went back and checked. There are two places for me to set a password: Account and particular system(s). I only have one "system" and that's what I changed earlier. I changed my Account this time and that change seems to have worked ok.

I've tried logging into eSignal with both the original UserID and Account number as UserID, each with all three passwords (original, Acct password sent in an email, and new password I set), and all fail. I will now try to set the password back to the original one and see if that works.

Back later....

Well, guess what? Changing my password back to the original one, and reverting back to the originally assigned USERID, enabled my access again.

What does DBC think they are communicating when one requests current UserID/Password off their site for the eSignal service and get one that references Customer Number (NOT UserID), and provides a password that has no relation to the correct password?

The only thing I can think of is that I once had an account with eSignal a couple of years ago and perhaps the database is sending me information from that very, very old account.

Bottom line is I'm back to the original password which is not one I want to keep.
