glenn, we, among a few others, have been a broken record on this issue for 3 years (some maybe more). i define service as getting me the product in working order without hassle and being able to return it if it is faulty. that is about it.

why get the lowest price if they don't deliver for a month when they advertised for a week? the net is *great* for getting this info.

i shy away from getting almost everything unless i can get online reviews. online reviews dictated my receiver choice, my speaker choice, my amp choice, my sub choice and my interconnect choice (guess what i've been buying ;-)

my future tv purchase and the location was determined by online reviews - some sears match online prices and i feel more comfortable having the tv dealer close by. i am getting the best of *both* worlds.

the net is great - just not for amzn and its shareholders. i bet those folks who bought and / or hel through $100 are *seriously* questioning their decision making process - as well they should.

amzn = doa.
