nolimitz...I truly believe that is one of the big "secrets" out there...I know of a few in the same boat as well...They exercised a bunch of options, bought homes or spent for a vacation, but didn't bother to sell any to cover tax liability simply because they assumed the stock would continue going up----this isn't going to be a small issue here soon. We're talking a lot of option related tax liability and a situation where current valuations mean that there is no equity balance to cover it without pain....meaning entire portfolios are going to need to be sold off to cover that option tax liability.

This is definitely an issue imo...I know too many in that boat...and really I don't know that many people:) The question is whether or not it's serious enough to bring about another round of tax-lossish selling in tech as 4/15 approaches?
