What I did say was that I was highly skeptical that (Western)Europe [Fortress Europa] would adopt anything, anything at all, which had any connection with Qualcomm prior to UMTS (which is the laughingly twisted name for WCDMA). And that therefore I would expect the adopting to take place (first at least) in GSM land, outside of (Western) Europe.

And the major point is that it really doesn't matter on the world stage what Europe does. Europe is now a backwater in telecom.

As for when and where and how, suggest that we see.

(I suggest China will be first)
