And your point is if you own gold you wont have to worry about that asteroid?

Well, suffice it to say that I'm happy that more attention is being paid to the issue of asteroids.

But that kind of scenario is far too extreme to justify gold ownership.

In such a case, a well-stocked arms cache and 4 year stockpille of food to defend with it would be far more valuable than all the gold in (or allegedly in) Ft. Knox..
