Hi Lee - I would love a moderated thread going back to the roots of this one. Oil & drilling stocks are my focus and my # 1 interest. If I wanted to trade tech or talk politics, I'd bookmark threads dedicated to those subjects and participate (actually, I lurk at several).

I'm very easy going, but even I've gotten fed up and lost it a few times here. To paraphrase what I said in November - I don't need a bunch of anger served up with my corn flakes...

Good post.

Alex

The freedom of choice is a wonderful thing. Many of you should use it.The needs of each of us on the thread are different. Some of have an industry background, some of us have an investment background, some of us have a feel for fundamentals and some are very strong with their charts and technical analysis. It takes all kinds to make a world and I for one am happy for the most part of the contributions on this thread. I think I gain something from most all of the posts and have used input from many to help me gain the knowledge in making me a more astute investor. Each of the posters has some characteristics which might use some refinement but any rational thinking person should be able to separate the "wheat from the chaff". It matters not who is eventually proven to be right and who is wrong but the process of getting there that is important. Slider, Isopatch, JQP, Big Bull, jim_p, don england, cnyndwlr, Razorback, Timelord, excardog, Frank, tomasso, tomas, the girls and everyone else has value to add and I think they should do it any way they please so that we can get the most out of the thread for our own needs.
IMO take a little criticism in stride, think with your heads rather than your hearts and continue to make money with the SD thread.
Regards
TC

P.S.: It is -32C this morning in Alberta if that is information that is on topic for anyone today.

As a long-time lurker, I have to agree.

Lee, Razor:

Couldn't agree with you more! A couple of extreme ego's have hijacked this board. It seems that 90% of the posts I've made lately have been attacked. Not just mature disagreement, but base personal attacks.
I will be happy to join you all on the moderated thread and leave this place to Slider, Isopatch and their fans.
