I'm sure that SI goes out of their way to accomodate her because, like it or not, she's a big draw and their numbers are way down.

David, I asked SI why they allow such blatant violations of their advertising policy and received this bizarre reply. I told SI Jeff their position is a joke:

Hello,
I think the distinction that I make is that these threads are both active threads that contain information of interest to many members. The specific post you link is actually a message in the thread. The thread header does mention the private site but is not writen for the exclusive purpose of driving traffic to it. The same can be said of Market Gems. While the private site is mentioned, there is much active posting on the thread.
I do remove threads and posts where the sole intent is to drive traffic to a website. Those are generallly quite obvious in their intent and they don't generally offer any actual content. There will frequently be simply the mention of the web site with no other information given. This would be advertisng imho. Simiarly, posts that might give the mention of a security but no actual information and a link to look at an article about that security would appear to me to be advertising.

I hope this addressed your concerns.

Jeff
