Re: ATT Bundling Plans- What went wrong??

"I think $150 a month a household if mobile is included, $100 a month without mobile"

Peter- I agree. And I would JUMP on the chance to get all my services from the likes of ATT. Time Warner's VOD is working great for me(I paid for one movie per month for three months). It would be at least two or three per month for me if the content was there(but that may bring up the bandwidth issue that ftth and I have discussed in depth upstream). Generally we all seem to agree bundling is a great idea.

So in your opinion what in the world is on Armstrong's mind?? I can hardly believe he won't follow through on the bundling idea when he is so close to making it a reality. I'm incredibly disappointed and in dis-belief that he is dropping the bundling idea.

In hindsight (the clearest kind), when I read that Armstrong said, "Oh bundling. Yeah right. The only place I've seen bundling work is at Jiffy Lube." Note: There was some kind of coupon deal that ATT passed out when you got your oil changed.

Well when I read that comment, I should have sold my infrastructure investments and headed for the hills. That comment was an indicator he was going to threshold brake ATT's capex spending plans. IMO, that was the watershed event. ATT's capex spending truce was quickly followed by just about all SPs.

Even mighty Cisco is feeling the brunt of that ATT white flag. How can I be so dumb, dumb, dumb not to see that coming. But then again, I was in good company. Even Chambers was caught flat footed. -MikeM(From Florida)

PS I tried to find Armstrong's Jiffy Lube speech but could not. I think it was in July or August. I was dumb. Dumb. Dumb. I should have paid more attention.
