Is the potential timing for 1xevdo in current spectrum...the same as for new spectrum?
----------

Chaz,

It's my impression that Euro operators would only consider technology that has been standardized by 3GPP/GSMA and/or IMT2000.

Correspondingly, I believe IMT2000 certification is fundamental to 1xev application in any spectrum within Western Europe... ((As we've recently read, Romania has already announced 1x in 450 spectrum...))

1xevdo would also require Euro carriers to allot 1.25mhz of their dwindling frequency capacity to data...

1xrtt, not being IMT2000 certified, would not be considered for Western European frequencies IMO...

1xevdv, which will work with Europe's preferred 5mhz - as well as integrate data and voice - will be the most appropriate cdma2000 European option...
