Are you telling me that these "officers" have moved to cash, ewven CSCO and INTC hae said the same (and worst) things about the next two quarters.

Larry, you misinterpret the standards that fiduciaries have in investing funds. It's not simply the near term out look but also the longer term prospects when compared to the current stock price that need to be taken into account. If the stock price is low relative to the long term outlook, then the investment may a prudent one regardless of the near term prospects. Under your interpretation, managers could never follow the old saw that one should buy when there's blood running in the streets.
