glenn, this remains a problem for me about wh's posts. it's not that they have no merit. it's that they rarely have context. in a bear market such as this, context is critical. nothing new here, just continued conclusion.....

Rob,

I am not out to defend Bill's style since I know he can do that well enough for himself if he so desires. I would say that Bill spends less time on his actualy posting compared to possibly reading publications or etc. My point is his style of being involved in SI may be different that your and mine. We all have different styles and I type too much. See <VBG>

I am not going to permit him to escape by stating he never wrote that Amazon will be "extremely" profitable. I told you yesterday I was leading up to something. This is something I am very good which is why I typically can negotiate decent leases for my businesses, etc. I tipped my hand a bit yesterday and more so today but tipping ones hand matters not when one has the facts archived and has located them.

Bill is permitted to be wrong. He has told James many times there is nothing wrong with being wrong. I am just going to prove Bill was wrong unless he just admits it and states he lost his bet with me. Bill has two issues. One is he is now claiming he never stated Amazon would be extremely profitable. Bill may have forgotten but he did say that and in those words. Next Bill is not ready to admit Amazon has failed. I can wait until the time is right. I even backed up my bookmark to that post on CD Rom and placed in on three of my workstations:-))))

I have got him on this issue but won't press it now since we are all suffering stock losses. Besides, he was kind enough to invite me to SF and Bill can be very nice at times. He can be a bear too as we all can.
