Aus, I looked at the Olympus 4.1 mp camera with SLR viewing, and I must say it was impressive, if you can handle the high price tag, and also the fact that it is somewhat bulkier than the smaller cameras like the Nikon 990, or others that do not have SLR capabilities. Because I have used an SLR for about 30 years, I prefer that system. I also tried the similar Canon model with 3.3 mp resolution. The Canon feels better in my hands, the shutter release is located in a slightly better position for my small fingers. But the bulk of the Canon is caused mainly by its desire to make the camera compatible with its line of EOS 35mm auto focus lenses. You actually buy only the body, and they assume you will be using some of your EOS accessories. If you don't have an EOS, then maybe you don't need to go in that direction.

I also looked at the new Olympus printer that dispenses with the usual ink-jet technology but costs about $900, plus nearly $3 per 8x10 print. That said, I've seen NOTHING that even comes close to the quality you can get from that printer. Truly amazing, and much better than anything available from Epson.
