The options on BRCD suggest there's more downside risk right now, based on the relative premiums. If you believe, as I do, the selling is overdone, you might consider writing a March 45 put at 4, and buying an April 55 put at 5ish, and be prepared to close out decent gains at a profit.

I've been in and out of the stock, keeping a core holding, and a piece against which I've written calls or leveraged to write puts for years. When the sentiment moves with BRCD, there are no half steps, either way...

BRCD indicates that the growth rate of next quarter (CYQ1 or FYQ2) will be flat or slightly positive, but for the sequently quarters (CY Q2,3) growth rates will be back to 19% each, conservatively.

BRCD management is basically lying. We all know there won't be a second half recovery.

PS: To answer your question: BRCD has seen its low for awhile IMHO.

Not a timely comment.

If NTAP's post-earning chart action means anything, BRCD will go to mid 20s, so it has not seen its low yet.

Ibexx,

BRCD indicates that the growth rate of next quarter (CYQ1 or FYQ2) will be flat or slightly positive, but for the sequently quarters (CY Q2,3) growth rates will be back to 19% each, conservatively.

Due to this "slowing" economy, though, one should do a worst case scenario analysis on Brcd. Why not model zero or negative sequential growth in CYQ2/3 revenues and see where earnings come in at.

Too many tech companies have no visiblity for CY01, thus perhaps BRCD is hoping for an increase but there is still a good chance that there might not be sequential increases in revenues.....
