Dinner tonight is oven fried chicken, oven-fried waffle-cut potatoes and roasted broccoli. I've been in a mandoline kinda mood so we've been experimenting with potatoes. And I made cheesecake brownies, ostensibly for the guys in Bill's shop (I bake for them a few times a week) but I may have to try one just to make sure they're not poisoned or anything.... I am terribly jealous of your weather. It doesn't hit 70 degrees here until late May, and that's an anomaly. And on top of that, mud season has begun in New England, great heaving furrows of it that freeze and thaw for weeks and ripple the landscape here. We have our LL Bean boots at the ready by the side door, encrusted to the ankles. I've known people to lose shoes in the mud, walk right out of them, never to find them again.
