Sudan to export oil to Germany, says German envoy
Text of report in English by Sudanese news agency Suna on 24 February

Khartoum, 24 February: The German charge d'affaires to Khartoum, Johannes Lehne, has announced that the economic and commercial relations between Germany and Sudan have witnessed a tangible growth in the previous period.

He explained that his country will buy oil and agricultural products from the Sudan via the bilateral commercial relations. Interviewed by Suna, the charge d'affaires said that the volume of the commercial exchange between the Sudan and Germany has reached 400m German marks (around 200m US dollars) by the end of 2000. He expressed readiness of his country to extend the German technology to Sudan in the different industrial fields.

Mr Lehne referred to the recent visit of the German businessmen delegation to the Sudan, saying that it was successful. He added that they met the Sudanese officials and got acquainted with the economic resources and potentialities as well as the different investment opportunities available in Sudan.

It is to be recalled that Sudan exports agricultural products to Germany, including cotton, karkadeh [sudanese fruit], fruits and animal products. Sudan's imports from Germany include vehicles, machines, chemicals and electronic appliances.

Tomas, I remember when I bought IPP at $3 and it promptly went to $1. I spoke with and I am not certain of this, either Lucas Lundin or Ian, but in any account, they were greatly dismayed at the stock price. Keep the faith was their word. Things worked out as the stock eventually made it back to $5. This is similar to the situation we have here. If the 100% increase in production holds , you will be looking at $1 plus cash flow on a $2 stock. So, I see instant opportunity here. Keep buying the low price inventory and it will only be a short while before some analyst is interview by barrons who recommneds it. By then the stock will be $5.
