Truthfully I don't think I will ever be able to dissect a balance sheet like Mike Buckley, understand a soft handoff or what the hell WAFL really means. Nor do I have a clue how to time the market.

Drats! I was hoping you would make a much needed contribution by becoming the ace, #1, never-fails market timer! That's what we need here. Then we would all (still) be rich.

Seriously, tripper, thanks for the thoughtful post. You have taken some of the terrible sting out of the weekend.

Thanx for your comments Trip.

what the hell WAFL really means

Yeah, either do I. All I know is I like berries with my waffles.

The last couple of months have been tough on all of us-hope none of the thread elders such as yourself are feeling guilty about the fall of our G&Ks. I made all decisions myself, and really appreciate the hard work that you, uf, DS, Thomas, tekboy and others put into maintaining this wonderful place and hope someday to meet some of you.

Thank you. The Roundtable is grateful for your kind remarks. We all have nothing to be guilty about. This great community has selected a fabulous list of market leaders in important market segments. From what I can see, as a generalization, there is nothing fundamentally wrong with the companies.

Eventually, the cream will rise to the top, and earnings will be rewarded with incremental share price. The timeline for this may have been moved backward, and stretched out from what I had hoped, but I truly believe it is inevitable.

The USA is the indisputable leader in enterprise technology. The rest of the world must buy what we are selling, both to stay up with technologically based countries, and to attain a similar standard of living.

Companies like JDSU, Intel, EMC, Qualcomm, Siebel, Cisco, Juniper, Cree, and on and on....will profit. It's the time frame and temporal perspective that have shifted.

best,
apollo
